In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the police have arrested two people for raping a 14-year-old minor girl. The victim was forced into prostitution by her elder sister. Customers used to exploit the victim for their lust through the sister’s mother-in-law. The police have so far arrested eight people in this case, including three women, a priest, a cable technician and a shopkeeper.
According to the information, the victim is a resident of Chemmenchery. She had come to her married sister’s house in Paduvanchery for studies. After coming here, her sister and mother-in-law forcibly pushed her into prostitution. They took her to many places including KK Nagar and Chengalpattu. Meanwhile, the Chengalpattu Child Welfare Committee got information about this. It conducted a raid with the women police team and freed the victim.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Gautam Goyal formed a special team to investigate the case and ordered a thorough investigation. The police investigation revealed a sex racket. The police first arrested six people, including the victim’s sister, mother-in-law and three men. The accused also include a temple priest. After analyzing the call data records and the evidence recovered, the police also arrested two other accused last Friday.

Let us tell you that in the month of May, the police had busted a big sex racket in Chennai. In this case, the police had arrested a woman and her six accomplices. The accused used to blackmail school girls and force them into prostitution. The police had told that a woman named Nadia first befriended her daughter’s school friends on the pretext of teaching them a beautician course and then started forcing them.
She took advantage of the poor economic background of such girls and pushed them into prostitution by luring them with money between 25 thousand to 35 thousand rupees. The accused woman started sending these school girls to older men who wanted young girls. Many of these girls were from Hyderabad and Coimbatore. After a tip-off, the police raided a lodge and rescued the girls aged 17 and 18.
