Manu Bhaker Sarabjot Singh Bronze Medal Match: Wow!!! Manu Bhaker, wow!!! Sarabjot Singh… The duo created history in the Paris Olympics. India’s Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event by defeating the Korean pair of Oh Ye Jin and Lee Wonho. Manu Bhaker became the first player to win two medals in the same Olympics.

In fact, Manu Bhaker became the first Indian to win two medals in the same Olympics after independence, who along with Sarabjot Singh created history by defeating Korea in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team category in the Paris Olympics. The Indian pair defeated Korea 16-10 and gave the country its second medal in this Olympics. Earlier, Manu had won bronze in the women’s 10 meter air pistol event.

British-born Indian athlete Norman Pritchard won silver medals in the 200m sprint and 200m hurdles at the 1900 Olympics, but that achievement was before independence.

On the fourth day of Paris Olympics 2024, the eyes of the fans were once again on Manu Bhaker. She played with India’s Sarabjot Singh in the 10m air pistol mixed team bronze medal match today (30 July).

Earlier, Manu had won the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol event in the Paris Olympics, becoming the first Indian shooter to win this medal. Manu had scored a total of 221.7 points in the final, this was India’s first medal in the current Paris Olympics. Also, this was India’s fifth medal in shooting in the history of the Olympics. But today Manu created history by winning another medal and also winning another medal. At the same time, she has now increased the total number of medals in Olympic shooting to 6.

Manu Bhaker created history by winning the bronze medal on 30 July. She became the first Indian player to win two medals in a single Olympics. Before this, no Indian player has been able to win two medals in a single Olympics. Sushil Kumar and PV Sindhu have certainly won two medals each, but these medals came in different Olympic Games.

This is Manu Bhaker’s second Olympics

This is only Manu Bhaker’s second Olympics. She made her debut in the last Tokyo Olympics 2020, but her pistol malfunctioned during the 10m air pistol qualification round. Due to this, she could not win a medal last time. But this time Manu showed her full strength and dominated fate and aimed at the medal. Apart from this, she also missed out on winning medals in the mixed team 10m pistol and 25m pistol events.

22-year-old Manu Bhaker is competing in the women’s 10m air pistol, 10m air pistol mixed team and women’s 25m pistol events at the Paris Olympics 2024 shooting competition. She is the only athlete from the 21-member Indian shooting team to participate in multiple individual events. Manu secured a Paris 2024 Olympics quota for India after finishing fifth in the women’s 25m pistol event at the 2023 Asian Shooting Championship.

Manu Bhaker is the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup. She is also the Commonwealth Games champion in the women’s 10m air pistol event at Gold Coast 2018, where she won the top medal with a CWG record. Manu Bhaker is also the first Indian shooter and the country’s first female athlete to win a gold medal at the Youth Olympics at Buenos Aires 2018. She won the women’s 25m team pistol title at the Asian Games last year.

After an eye injury, he left boxing and started shooting

Born in Jhajjar, Haryana, Manu Bhaker participated in tennis, skating and boxing competitions during her school days. Apart from this, she also participated in a martial art called ‘Than Ta’, which won medals at the national level. Manu got injured in the eye during boxing, after which her journey in boxing ended. But Manu had a different passion for sports, due to which she managed to become an excellent shooter. Manu decided to make a career in shooting at the age of 14, at that time Rio Olympics 2016 had just ended. Within a week of this, she asked her father to bring a shooting pistol. Her always supportive father Ram Kishan Bhaker bought her a gun and that was a decision that one day made Manu Bhaker an Olympian.
