Manu Bhaker met Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath, she returned home today after winning 2 medals in the Olympics

India’s double medal winning shooter Manu Bhaker returned home today (7 August) after a historic performance at the Paris Olympics. She was given a grand welcome at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. After creating history in Paris, Manu Bhaker met Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath.

Manu won India’s first medal in Paris by winning the bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event. After this, she won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event along with Sarabjot Singh. She was on the verge of creating history by becoming the only Indian to win three Olympic medals, but she missed out by a narrow margin in the women’s 25m pistol event.

She will return to Paris this week to participate in the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games on Sunday. Manu Bhaker will be India’s flag bearer during the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024. 22-year-old Manu has made the country proud by winning two bronze medals in Olympic shooting.

After winning the medal in the Olympics, Manu had said in a special conversation with Aaj Tak that whatever hard work I have done till now, I have got its reward. For a long time, I had a desire to win an Olympic medal for the country and that dream has been fulfilled today. He also mentioned the Bhagavad Gita. Manu had said that I feel that even in the present times, the Bhagavad Gita is very relevant. Sometimes I am surprised that something centuries old is still relevant today. If the Gita is read carefully even today, then we can use it in everyday life.
