On the court Manish Sisodia, Saturday was a mixed day for Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. On one hand, he got good news, while on the other hand, the court once again gave him a shock. Delhi Excise Scam (Delhi Sisodia, who is in jail in the Excise Scam case, has got permission from the Rouse Avenue Court to release MLA fund for development work.

3 crore rupees will be spent on development works

3 crore rupees will be spent on various development works in Khichdipur village, East Vinod Nagar, Residential Colony Khichdipur, Railway Colony and Mandavali. Other works will be done including beautification of open space in Khichdipur, beautification of Swati Park in West Vinod Nagar, entrance gate at Mayur Vihar Phase-2 and Firni Mod Khichdipur.

Manish Sisodia had sought permission from the court to release Rs 3 crore from the MLA fund for various development works in his Patparganj assembly constituency.

Sisodia again got a setback from the court

Apart from this, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has extended Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody till July 15. During the hearing, Sisodia’s lawyer Vivek Jain argued in the court that the CBI is misleading the court. CBI’s lawyer DP Singh answered this.

AAP’s problems are not decreasing

He said that new evidence has emerged after June and he will give information about this to the Supreme Court. Earlier, the ED had produced the three accused of the Delhi liquor scam in the Rouse Avenue Court. Here the ED had requested to extend the custody period. After hearing the arguments of the ED, the court extended the judicial custody of CM Kejriwal till July 12 and the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia and K. Kavita till July 15.

With this, the Rouse Avenue Court directed the ED to provide copies of the chargesheet and documents to the accused persons within two days. Earlier, the ED had filed the 9th chargesheet in the money laundering case from the Delhi liquor scam. Also, a person named Vinod Chauhan was made an accused. Chauhan was arrested in May as part of the ED investigation.
