Ryan Green and his longtime girlfriend bought an old, abandoned bank in the neighborhood where Green grew up — with the idea of ​​turning it into something special.

Thirty days after placing the highest bid, Green received the keys to his new bank in hopes of building a home for himself and his girlfriend.

After the building sat vacant for 12 years, Greene detailed the process on social media saying the space needed serious work.

As SWNS reports, the space had a new bathroom and kitchen installed, eight new double-glazed windows and a new roof.

75 percent of the walls of the space were removed during the renovation process.

“We needed a new ceiling, new heating, new rewiring, fire alarms — it was just an empty shell,” Green said, according to SWNS.

The homeowner noted on TikTok that the space had “a lot of issues” — and a learning curve when it came to making the space livable.

Six months and about $65,000 later, Green and his girlfriend were able to move into their new two-bedroom apartment while also keeping the original bank safe in their space.
