Mamata Banerjee surrounded by the statement ‘Entire North-East will burn’, after Himanta, Odisha CM raised questions

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is being surrounded by one of her statements. During a program, she targeted the Modi government at the center and warned that ‘If Bengal burns, Assam, North-East, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Delhi will also burn. We will topple your chair.’ After Himanta Biswa Sarma, now Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi has raised questions on this statement of Mamata.

Odisha CM asked Mamata Banerjee through a post on social media platform X, who gave you the right to make such objectionable statements about Odisha? Odisha is a peaceful state and the people here are responsible and aware, the people of Odisha will never accept your hateful attitude, negative comments and insensitive attitude towards our state. Without giving justice to the victim of the heinous crime, the vindictive comments you are making are dangerous for the country. He told Mamata Banerjee that please stay away from such statements. Stay calm.

What did Himanta Biswa Sarma say?

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also retaliated on this statement of Mamata. He wrote in a post on X that Didi, how dare you threaten Assam? Do not show us red eyes. Do not even try to burn India with your politics of failure. It does not suit you to speak divisive language.

Mamta targeted BJP

Let us tell you that the Trinamool government is facing severe criticism and massive protests over the way it handled the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. This incident took place on August 9. Since then, junior doctors, students and common citizens across Bengal, including Kolkata, have been protesting in their own way demanding justice for the victim. Speaking at the foundation day program of the Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad, Mamata Banerjee attacked the BJP over the violence during the bandh (strike) and the protest march to the state secretariat ‘Nabanna’.
