Major terrorist conspiracy foiled before Jammu and Kashmir elections, security forces killed 3 terrorists on LoC

A major terrorist conspiracy has failed before the elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces have carried out a special operation and killed 3 terrorists who were trying to infiltrate. This operation carried out before the elections in the valley is being considered a major success of the security forces.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, information was being received for the last several days that terrorists would try to infiltrate from across the Line of Control (LOC). Meanwhile, on August 28, intelligence information revealed that this infiltration would take place from Tangdhar and Machil sectors.

After confirming the intelligence, the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and BSF conducted a joint operation and ambushed them. At around 8 pm, the terrorists tried to infiltrate the Machil area. During this, an encounter took place between the terrorists and the joint party of security forces.

During the operation in Machil, an encounter started in Tangdhar area at around 9 pm. During both the operations, 2 terrorists were killed in Machil and 1 in Tangdhar. It is being told that one terrorist has been badly injured in this encounter. According to a senior army officer, the encounter was carried out in inaccessible areas and bad weather.

Let us tell you that after being made a Union Territory, assembly elections are going to be held for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir. The Election Commission has announced the election dates for voting on 90 assembly seats of the state. The people of Jammu and Kashmir will vote on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October to elect their government for five years. Assembly elections will be held in 3 phases in the Union Territory which is sensitive from the security point of view. The results of the assembly elections will come on 4 October. Voting is to be held on 24 seats in the first phase, 26 seats in the second phase and 40 seats in the third phase.
