Officials said that the encounter started after the soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police started a joint cordon and search operation at Dhari Gote Urbagi in Desa forest area at around 7:45 pm. They said that four army personnel including an officer and a policeman were injured in the firing that lasted for more than 20 minutes, after which they were taken to the hospital.

Security beefed up on Jammu-Doda Highway

Security forces have beefed up security on the Jammu-Doda highway after an encounter with terrorists. Officials said a search operation was launched after information about the presence of terrorists in the area. More security personnel have been sent to the area after the firing. The Army’s 16th Corps, also known as the White Knight Corps, said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, “Additional troops have been sent to the area, the operation is ongoing.”

According to reports, the terrorist organization Kashmir Tigers has claimed responsibility for the attack in Doda region. Let us tell you, this organization is associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed. This terrorist organization had also claimed responsibility for the attack on the army convoy in Kathua.
