Maharashtra: This woman officer was taking a bribe of two lakh rupees, ACB caught her red handed

A woman officer of Dhule district of Maharashtra was arrested red handed by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) while taking bribe. The accused woman is posted as Superintendent and Education Officer. She was caught taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from two special teachers on Thursday.

Giving information in this case, an official of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) told PTI that the accused woman officer has been identified as Meenakshi Bhaurao Giri. She was posted as Superintendent of Payments and Provident Fund in the Zila Parishad office of Dhule district.

The senior official further said that the ACB team caught him taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from two special teachers for releasing the pending payments after the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission. The victims had complained about this.

After receiving the complaint, the ACB team laid a trap to catch the accused woman and she was caught red-handed taking bribe. Now further action is being taken in this case.
