Maharashtra: Political war over provocative statement of BJP MLA Nitesh Rane, AIMIM raises question

The provocative statement given by BJP MLA Nitesh Rane in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra is in the headlines. He said, “If anyone says anything against our Ramgiri Maharaj, we will come to mosques and kill them one by one.” Let us tell you that Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj had made comments on the Prophet of Islam, after which marches were taken out against him in different areas of the state.

After this, a rally was taken out in Ahmednagar in support of Ramgiri Maharaj by the entire Hindu community under the leadership of BJP leader Nitesh Rane. A large number of people from the Hindu community participated in the rally. During this rally, Nitesh Rane has openly threatened the Muslim community.

After giving an inflammatory speech on Muslims, a case has been registered against BJP MLA Nitesh Rane at Tofkhana Police Station in Ahmednagar district. He is accused of giving an inflammatory speech and hurting religious sentiments. Tofkhana Police is going to send a notice to Nitesh Rane today and call him for questioning.

‘This is inflammatory speech, hate speech…’

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) national spokesperson Waris Pathan said in a social media post, “In Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar, BJP MLA Nitish Rane is openly threatening the police administration that he will enter the mosque and kill Muslims one by one. He is spreading hatred against Muslims in his entire speech. This is an inflammatory speech, a hate speech. BJP is trying to incite communal violence in Maharashtra before the elections.”

In the last part of the post, Waris Pathan tagged Maharashtra DGP and Chief Minister’s Office and said that they should take cognizance of this entire speech and immediately register an FIR and take him into custody.

After the video of the speech went viral, Nitesh Rane said, “Why should I apologize? I am a Hindu before becoming an MLA.”

Police will call for questioning

A case has been registered against Nitesh Rane at Tofkhana police station in Ahmednagar district for giving inflammatory speech and hurting religious sentiments. Tofkhana police is going to send a notice to Nitesh Rane today and call him for questioning.
