Maharashtra Elections, The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will hold a meeting on August 7 to discuss seat sharing and other issues in the assembly elections in Maharashtra. A senior MVA leader gave this information. Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Balasaheb Thorat told reporters after meeting Shiv Sena (Shiv Sena) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday evening that the criteria for seat sharing among allies will be discussed in the meeting.

He said in a statement, ‘Seat swapping is also possible as winning candidates will be fielded.’ Thorat also said that he has discussed the plan for election rallies with Thackeray. The MVA comprises the Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray). Assembly elections in Maharashtra are likely to be held in October this year.

The committee members will meet on August 4
Meanwhile, Congress’ Maharashtra in-charge Ramesh Chennithala will visit Mumbai for two days from August 3 to meet party state leaders ahead of the MVA meeting. The Congress has formed a committee of state leaders to hold discussions with the MVA and members of this committee will meet with Chennithala on August 4.
In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, the MVA won 30 out of 48 parliamentary seats in the state and the number of opposition MPs in the state increased to 31 after the lone independent MP Vishal Patil joined the MVA.
