In Thane, Maharashtra, a young woman has accused her own father of sexually assaulting her. An official said that the police have registered a case against a 64-year-old man for sexually assaulting his daughter in Thane district.
According to the news agency, Vartak Nagar police station official said that the 18-year-old girl alleged in her complaint that on July 5 this year, when no one was at home, her father pressured her to have physical relations.
When she refused to obey, the accused father touched her inappropriately and beat her up, the complaint said. This happened several times after that.
The victim finally approached the police on Wednesday and lodged a complaint against her father. Based on this, the police registered an FIR under sections 74, 75(2) (sexual harassment) and 115(2) (intentional hurt) of the Indian Penal Code. He said that the police is investigating the allegations after which action will be taken against the accused father.
Two days ago, a minor was raped in Thane
Let us tell you that just two days ago, a rape case was also reported in Thane district. A man raped his 13-year-old minor neighbour several times on the pretext of marriage. When the minor refused to have sex, the man beat her up and also threatened to kill her.
On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered an FIR in the case and arrested the accused. The police said on Tuesday that the 28-year-old accused, a resident of New Azad Nagar area of Bhiwandi, has been arrested on Monday.
On interrogation, the accused said that he first befriended the girl. After this, he started meeting her family frequently. One day, when the girl’s parents had gone to work, he went to her house. Then he promised to marry the girl and forced her to have physical relations with him.
