The wife left her husband because of his dark complexion
Madhya Pradesh News, A 24-year-old man in Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh has claimed that his wife left him because of his dark complexion and has also filed a complaint of harassment against him. An official said on Thursday that the man has also filed a police complaint against his wife on the issue. Before taking any action in this matter, the police have called the couple for counseling on Saturday. The man, who lives in Vicky Factory area of the city, told reporters on Wednesday that he got married 14 months ago.
She started taunting me for my dark complexion
He claimed that soon after marriage, his wife started taunting him about his dark complexion and they started quarrelling. The man said that a month ago his wife gave birth to a daughter. He said, but 10 days later she left the baby at home (of the man) and went to her maternal home. The man claimed, when I went to her house to bring her back, she again started taunting me about my dark complexion and refused to come back.
A complaint of harassment was also lodged
He said that later his wife also lodged a complaint of harassment against him in the women’s police station. When contacted, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kiran Ahirwar said that the woman has left the girl at her in-laws’ house and gone to her maternal home. The officer said that the woman’s husband and her mother-in-law also lodged a complaint on this issue during the public hearing before the local police on Tuesday. He said that we have called both the parties for consultation on July 13 and only after that we will take any action on this issue.
