Lucknow: IPS daughter’s body found in university hostel, what did the post-mortem report reveal?

The death of Anika Rastogi (19), a law university student in Lucknow, caused a sensation. She was found unconscious in her hostel room on Saturday night. When she was taken to the hospital, the doctors declared her dead. Anika’s postmortem report has arrived. It shows no injury marks on her body. At present, the cause of death is not clear. In such a situation, the viscera and heart have been kept safe. After the postmortem, the family has left for Delhi with the body.

It is being told that when the student was found unconscious, her clothes were also perfect. There are no marks of force on her body. The student’s room is also perfect. Nothing suspicious was seen there.

According to sources, the student Anika Rastogi Anika had a medical problem from before. She had also undergone a heart operation. She was on medication. Meanwhile, on Saturday she was found unconscious in her room. Her friends rushed her to the hospital, but the doctors there declared her dead. Anika was a third year LLB student.

It is worth noting that Anika Rastogi’s father is IPS Santosh Rastogi, who is posted as IG in NIA (Delhi). His daughter Anika went to her room on the night of Saturday, 31 August. After some time her roommate arrived. Anika did not open the door. After this, other students of the hostel called out. But there was no response.

On the orders of the warden, the door of the room was broken. When looked inside, Anika was lying unconscious. She was immediately taken to a private hospital, where the doctors declared her dead.

Anika’s family lives in Noida. On receiving the news of her death, the family members have reached Lucknow. At present, this suspicious death has raised concerns in the Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University and the police administration. The police is investigating the matter thoroughly.
