Lucknow: Body of 6-year-old girl who fell into a drain recovered after 5 days

The body of a 6-year-old girl who fell into a drain in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, has been recovered after five days. Many teams were searching for the girl for five days. On Sunday, the body of the girl was found in the river near Gomti Barrage. Actually, five days ago, while playing in the rain in Wazirganj area, the girl slipped in the water and fell into a deep drain, after which many teams including the Municipal Corporation were deployed.

Let us tell you that a 6-year-old girl living in a locality of Wazirganj police station fell into a drain while playing during the rain. As soon as the information was received, the administration and the municipal corporation team reached the spot to rescue her. But, even after a five-hour operation, the girl could not be found. But today the body of the 6-year-old girl has been recovered after five days. At the same time, there is an uproar among the family members after the girl’s body was found.

8 deaths so far in Lucknow building accident

Let us tell you that the death toll in the building accident that took place in Lucknow’s Transport Nagar on Saturday has risen to eight after three more bodies were pulled out from the debris late at night. Teams of NDRF, SDRF and district administration are still engaged in the rescue operation. A police officer has said that the three-storey building that collapsed was constructed about four years ago.

Accident happened after heavy rain

According to news agency PTI, a senior district administration official said they are now focusing on ensuring that no one else is trapped under the debris. Police said the building was constructed around four years ago and some construction work was going on at the time of the incident. Most of the victims were working on the ground floor when the incident occurred around 4:45 pm on Saturday evening after heavy rains. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals, including Lok Bandhu Hospital in the district.
