An ambulance driver and his assistant attempted to rape a woman who was taking her sick husband home (Siddharthanagar) from Lucknow. After the matter escalated, the police swung into action and nabbed one of the accused. Taking action on the victim’s allegations, Lucknow Police has arrested the ambulance driver’s assistant. At the same time, the absconding driver is being searched for.
It is being told that the victim woman first complained to the police in Basti district but when no action was taken there, she returned to Lucknow. But the police of Ghazipur police station here also tried to evade the matter and kept the case suppressed for two days. However, after the matter came to the media, the police registered an FIR and arrested an accused Rishabh Singh. At the same time, efforts are being made to arrest the driver Sarju Tiwari.

Lucknow’s Ghazipur police said that since the incident took place in Basti, efforts were made to contact the police there. A team was sent to the spot to investigate and then a case was registered. Also, the search for the accused was started.
What does the police officer have to say in the matter?
In this entire case, DCP North Abhijeet and Shankar told that according to the victim woman, when she was taking her sick husband to Siddharthnagar in an ambulance, she was molested in Basti. An attempt was also made to rob money. On protest, she, her husband and brother were beaten up by the ambulance workers and then taken off the vehicle. A case was registered in Lucknow’s Ghazipur police station regarding this. Now the police has arrested the ambulance driver’s associate Rishabh Singh. Also, the ambulance used in the incident has also been recovered. At the same time, three separate teams have been formed to arrest the ambulance driver who is the main accused (Sarju Tiwari). He will be arrested soon.

Actually, the whole matter is of 28th August when a woman from a village in Sakarpar police station area of Siddharthnagar district had come to Basti hospital to get her ailing husband treated. Seeing his condition worsening, she took him to Lucknow Medical College. But he could not be admitted there due to non-availability of beds. Out of helplessness, she took her husband to a private hospital in Lucknow and got him admitted.
According to the victim, the hospital charges more than one lakh rupees in just two days of treatment. Seeing that the money is running out, she asks the doctors to discharge her husband. Meanwhile, she gets the number of a private ambulance worker from the hospital counter. She takes her sick husband home (Siddharthanagar) in this ambulance. This is where the incident that shames humanity begins.
The ambulance driver and his assistant started molesting her on the way. To escape, the woman started banging on the door. Then the ambulance workers stopped the vehicle on the side of the highway in Basti district’s cantonment and took the woman, her brother and her sick husband off and ran away. They also took away the woman’s bag, hospital papers and phone. After which the woman’s brother called 112 from his phone and asked for help from the local police.
On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the sick man to the district hospital in a government ambulance, from where the doctors referred him to Gorakhpur Medical College. Here, after a few hours of treatment, the woman’s sick husband died. It is alleged that when the victim woman reached the Basti district’s cantonment police station to complain about the molestation, she was asked to lodge a report in Lucknow.
