Lieutenant General VPS Kaushik has taken over as the Adjutant General of the Indian Army. Before assuming the important charge on Friday, VPS Kaushik was serving as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Trishakti Corps. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Vinod Nambiar also took over as the Director General and Colonel Commandant of Army Aviation.
In a post on X, the Additional Directorate General of Public Information said that Lt Gen Vinod Nambiar assumed charge as Director General and Colonel Commandant of ArmyAviation. On assuming charge, he paid tribute to the bravehearts at the National War Memorial NWM and exhorted all ranks of Army Aviation to continue serving the nation with the same zeal and enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has repatriated Border Security Force (BSF) Director General (DG) Nitin Agarwal and his deputy Special DG (West) YB Khurania to their respective state cadres with immediate effect. Nitin Agarwal is a 1989 batch Kerala cadre officer, while Khurania is a 1990 batch Odisha cadre officer. Agarwal took over as BSF chief in June last year. Khurania, as Special DG (West), was heading the force’s deployment on the Pakistan border.
