Look at the condition of this metro station in Pune, the whole area is flooded, IMD has given warning of heavy rain

Many parts of the country are facing heavy rains. Water has disrupted people’s lives. People in Maharashtra are also troubled by the rain. A video has surfaced from Pune in which the area around the metro station is seen completely submerged in water. After heavy rains, 35 thousand cusecs of water is being released from the Khadakvasla dam of Mutha river basin.

The area around the metro station is overflowing

In the video, the entire area under the Pune Metro station is seen submerged in water. This is not just the condition of Pune but of many cities in Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai till August 26. According to the forecast, the city may receive moderate rain in the coming days which may increase till next week.

The Regional Meteorological Center of Mumbai has predicted that the capital and its suburbs may receive ‘heavy’ to ‘very heavy’ rains in the next 24 hours. Winds may blow at a speed of 30-40 kmph while the maximum and minimum temperatures will remain between 30 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius.

Heavy rain alert in Pune

Meanwhile, the regional centre of the Meteorological Department in Pune has issued a red alert for ‘very heavy rain’ in Raigad, Maharashtra for August 25. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a heavy rain alert for Pune, Nagpur, Palghar, Thane and Ratnagiri. The IMD has also warned of heavy rain in Nagpur and Mumbai region for the next five days.

70 people were rescued

Last month in July, Pune received so much rain that an operation had to be conducted to rescue 70 people and four people died. People were trapped after water filled in the residential area. After the fire department got the information, people were evacuated with the help of boats. The team reached the affected areas and conducted rescue operations with the help of boats.
