A day before, on Tuesday too, doctors had taken out a march to the Health Building. Today, former cricketer Sourav Ganguly is also going to march in Kolkata for justice along with his wife Dona Ganguly.
In fact, the body of a 31-year-old female trainee doctor was recovered from Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College Hospital on the night of August 9. The female doctor was raped and then murdered. It has been 13 days since this incident. Politics is taking place from Kolkata to Delhi. The police first investigated the case and arrested the accused Sanjay Roy and sent him to jail. Now the CBI investigation is going on for 7 days. Protests are being held across the country to get justice for Kolkata’s daughter.
On Wednesday, resident doctors and other organizations once again took to the streets of Kolkata. These people have placards in their hands demanding justice and are raising slogans. The protesting doctors are marching from the CBI office to the Health Bhavan. The doctors are also very angry with the incident of vandalism and attack at RG Kar Hospital. The security of the hospital has been handed over to CISF. On Wednesday, CISF DIG reached RG Kar Hospital and took stock of the security.
