Lightning struck the school, a hole was created in the roof and darkness prevailed… The principal and the children had a narrow escape

Lightning fell on the roof of a school in Bhagalpur, Bihar. This created a hole in the roof and debris scattered in the room. The school principal was present in the school office at the time of the incident and he narrowly escaped.

According to the information, this incident took place in the Government Higher Secondary School Kamalakund of Ismailpur block in Navgachiya subdivision. Here the headmaster Brajesh Kumar was in his office. During that time it started raining.

When lightning struck along with the thunder of clouds, a hole was created in the roof of the school, due to which the headmaster had a narrow escape. With the hole in the roof, rainwater filled the room and debris of the roof was scattered.

The headmaster was sitting on a wooden chair. Headmaster Brajesh Kumar said that he was working while sitting on the chair, another employee was sitting nearby, when suddenly there was a loud sound and the whole room was filled with smoke. Before he could understand anything, he saw that there was a hole in the roof and rainwater was falling into the room.

After this incident, all the staff of the school were scared. The room cracked due to lightning. All the electrical equipment and wiring got burnt and destroyed.

Headmaster Brajesh Kumar said that when the incident happened, classes were going on. The teachers were also in the room downstairs. At that very moment, debris fell on my chair with a loud noise. I was on the chair next to it. When the lightning struck, the entire room became dark.

Ram Charitra Paswan and Adesh Pal said that during the rain we were sitting near the window of the room, when suddenly lightning struck with a loud noise, due to which the office roof broke and rainwater started falling on the office.
