Hackers have stolen and leaked internal documents from Leidos Holdings Inc., one of the largest IT services providers to the U.S. government, including the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and NASA.
Leidos recently became aware of the issue and believes the documents were stolen in a previously disclosed breach of a Diligent Corp. system it used to host information gathered in internal investigations. Leidos is currently investigating the matter.

A Diligent spokesperson stated that the leak appears to be from a 2022 hack affecting its subsidiary business Steele Compliance Solutions, which was acquired in 2021. Fewer than 15 customers, including Leidos, used the affected product at the time.
The leaked documents could potentially expose sensitive information related to Leidos’ work with various U.S. government agencies and pose a risk to the security of Pentagon IT services. Leidos and Diligent have not yet responded to requests for further comment on the incident.
