Lawyer upset with police raid in his house commits suicide, FIR against woman sub-inspector, reason will shock you

A lawyer committed suicide in Margao, Goa. In this case, a case has been registered on Friday against a woman sub-inspector of police for instigating the lawyer to commit suicide. The accused PSI had raided the lawyer’s house before this incident.

Giving information, a Goa Police official told PTI that lawyer Jayant Prabhu committed suicide at his home in Davorlim village near Madgaon city on Thursday. Just hours before this, a police team led by Sub Inspector Anushka Parab raided his house.

According to the police officer, the police team was looking for Jayant Prabhu’s son Pritesh, against whom the Margao police had registered a case of molestation. In connection with the same case, the police team led by Sub Inspector Anushka Parab raided the lawyer’s house.

On Friday, the South Goa Lawyers Association protested in front of the office of Deputy Superintendent of Police Santosh Desai and demanded that an FIR be lodged against PSI Anushka Parab. The lawyers claimed that the deceased had named Parab in his suicide note.

The police officer said that the deceased’s son Ashish Prabhu had filed a complaint against PSI Parab, on the basis of which he has been accused of abetting suicide. Deputy SP Desai said that the allegations leveled against Parab by Prabhu’s family will be investigated.
