Labor Day in Chicago: 4 shot while sleeping on commuter train

Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) was sleeping on a commuter train in Chicago when four people were shot and killed just before 6:00 a.m. on Labor Day.

NBC News informed The victims “appeared to be sleeping and were sitting apart from each other, according to security footage.”

The shooting “occurred on a Blue Line train heading west of downtown to the suburb of Forest Park,” CNN noted. The victims were in two separate train cars, with three victims in one car and one in the other.

It is believed that the victims of the shooting may be homeless.

A suspect in the shooting was arrested about 90 minutes after the attack, and a weapon was recovered.

Breitbart News pointed out At least 17 people were shot in Chicago, three of them fatally, Friday night into Sunday night over the Labor Day weekend.
