According to religious beliefs, Lord Krishna was born in the midnight of Ashtami Tithi. This time people are confused about the date of Janmashtami as to when Janmashtami will be celebrated.

According to astrologers, Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on 26 August, Monday. At the same time, Krishna Janmotsav will be celebrated on 27 August in Banke Bihari temple of Vrindavan. This year the 5251st birth anniversary of Lord Krishna will be celebrated, which is considered very special.

On this day, Ashtami Tithi will start at 3:39 am on 26 August and Ashtami Tithi will end at 2:19 am on 27 August. According to Udayatithi, this time Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on 26 August only.

Lord Krishna was born in the Rohini Nakshatra and hence, Krishna Janmashtami is always celebrated in the Rohini Nakshatra. The Rohini Nakshatra will begin on August 26 at 3:55 pm and end on August 17 at 3:38 pm.

This time many auspicious yogas are going to be formed on Janmashtami. Actually, this time on Janmashtami, the moon will be in Taurus, it is believed that when Lord Krishna was born, a similar yoga was formed. Along with this, this time Krishna Janmashtami is falling on Monday, it is also believed that Lord Krishna was named on Monday. Also, the coincidence of Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga is also going to be formed on this day.

The worship time of Krishna Janmashtami will be from 12 midnight to 12:44 am on 26th August.

Bal Krishna is installed on Janmashtami. You can install any form you want based on your wishes. Install Radha Krishna for love and married life, install Bal Krishna for children. Also, install Krishna with flute for all wishes, you can also install conch and Shaligram.

Use flowers in the decoration of Shri Krishna. Decorate him with yellow clothes, Gopi Chandan and sandalwood fragrance, do not use black color. It would be best if Vaijayanti flowers are offered to Krishna ji.

On Janmashtami, definitely offer Panchamrit to Lord Krishna, definitely add Tulsi leaves in it, also offer dry fruits, butter and sugar candy. At some places, coriander panjiri is also offered. On this day, completely satvik food is eaten, which includes all kinds of dishes.

After taking bath on the day of Janmashtami, wear clean clothes and keep a fast. After this, bathe Lord Shri Krishna with milk and Gangajal and dress him in clean silk clothes. During this time, Bal Gopal will be put on a swing and his Aarti will be performed. Offer butter and sugar candy to Shri Krishna. If you wish, you can also offer kheer and panjiri. After this, worship and perform aarti of Lord Shri Krishna.
