Protester Dr. Kinjal Nanda said, “Senior professors, doctors have been transferred… those who were supporting our protest have been transferred. We have also raised our voice against this move. We don’t know what the conspiracy was? Senior professors who were with us from various universities, who were supporting us and our movement, have been transferred.”

Dr Kinjal further said, ‘We have seen the notification. Madam Prof. Dr. Sangeeta Paul was with us. She came here and supported us but she has been transferred. We don’t know why she was transferred. We want justice. We have raised our voice and we want all kinds of justice for what is happening to us.’ Dr Kinjal Nanda suspected a conspiracy behind the transfers of professor doctors in West Bengal.

Meanwhile, the protesting doctors have decided to go on strike. Meanwhile, the protesting doctors have decided that they will present their side in the court in this matter themselves. They have formed their own legal team which will present their side before the High Court from the next hearing.

The protesting resident doctors demand that all the culprits be arrested with proper evidence and the CBI should issue an official press release confirming this. A written apology and resignation from the higher authorities (former Principal, MSVP, Dean of Student Affairs, Head of Chest Medicine Department and Assistant Superintendent who were on duty that day at RGKMCH) have also been demanded.

It has been demanded that these officers should be barred from holding any administrative or official post in any institution for the remaining period of their service. He has sought an explanation from the Health Bhawan as to why the resignation of the former Principal of RGKMCH has not been accepted.
