Kolkata: CBI summons ASI close to rape-murder accused, he ran away on seeing camera – VIDEO

ASI Anup Dutta, identified as a “close associate” of Kolkata rape-murder case accused Sanjay Roy, was seen avoiding media questions on Tuesday. A video of him surfaced in which he was seen running away from media questions. A media person is also running behind him but he does not say anything.

Anup Dutta was going to the CBI office for questioning on the summons, when he encountered the media persons, but he did not talk to them. He is a member of the fourth battalion of Kolkata Police and the CBI had sent him summons for questioning in the case. It is being told that Anup Dutta has been identified by the investigating agency as a close associate of accused Sanjay Roy.

After taking over the case, the investigating agency CBI is questioning people close to Sanjay Roy and those who know him in any way. Summons have also been sent to many for questioning. Anoop Dutta was also summoned but when he saw the media persons, he started running away. While running, he directly entered the CGO Complex of the CBI headquarters.

The interrogation in the Kolkata rape-murder case has revealed a lot of information about the accused Sanjay Roy. It was revealed that he used to visit the red light area regularly and was addicted to alcohol. During the interrogation, the police came to know that the accused had drunk a lot of alcohol on the night of the incident. Now the CBI wants to conduct his polygraph test, for which the agency has got approval from the court.

Polygraph test can also be conducted on former principal of RG Kar Hospital, Sandeep Ghosh, who was the principal of the hospital till the time of the incident. The Bengal government has also formed an SIT regarding the financial matters of the hospital. It has been found that financial irregularities have come to light in the hospital, which will be investigated.

Kolkata Police has initiated action against top police officials in the case of vandalism at RG Kar Hospital on the night of August 14. Two assistant commissioners and an inspector have been suspended for negligence in duty. Two assistant commissioners posted in the North Division of Kolkata Police and an inspector posted in the Special Branch have been suspended. They were in charge of the security of RG Kar Hospital on the same night.
