Know when Yogi government’s bulldozer did not run on criminals and mafia in UP, Supreme Court also became strict

A lot of politics is going on before the upcoming by-elections on 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The opposition has been constantly accusing the UP government, which is in the news due to its bulldozer action, of being biased.

The opposition alleges that the state government has been biased in the bulldozer action and bulldozer action has not been taken in some cases of rape, murder and paper leak cases. Amidst all this, the case against the bulldozer action has now reached the Supreme Court.

The matter reached the court

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind filed a petition with the allegations of targeting a particular religion in the bulldozer action, which was heard today. The Supreme Court has raised serious questions on the bulldozer action. The court said that it is not fair to demolish someone’s house just on the basis of being an accused.

The court raised questions on the action of the government and administration and said that even if a person is guilty, his house cannot be demolished. The Supreme Court will hear the case next on September 17. Yogi government’s bulldozer did not work in these cases

1- The first political storm that arose after the Yogi government came to power in 2017 was the Unnao rape case. In which the then BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar was accused of rape. The victim had to commit suicide at the Chief Minister’s residence in Lucknow to write again. Kuldeep Singh Sengar was arrested. A CBI inquiry was conducted and Kuldeep Singh Sengar was sentenced to life imprisonment. In this incident that lasted for years, no bulldozer was run on the house of Kuldeep Singh Sengar or anyone associated with him.

2- Last year in November 2023, three boys belonging to BJP’s IT cell molested a girl student at gunpoint in BHU’s IIT campus and threatened her by making a video. The students protested for several days, and when questions started being raised about the safety of women in an institution like BHU, the three accused Kunal Pandey, Abhishek Chauhan and Saksham Patel were arrested and sent to jail.

After the arrest of the accused, the picture of their connection with BJP leaders started emerging. Bulldozer action was not seen at the house of any of the accused. Currently, two accused Kunal Pandey and Abhishek Chauhan have been granted bail by Allahabad High Court. The hearing on the bail of Saksham Patel will be held in the month of September.

3- On 23 July, Hrithik Pandey, who lived in the Mantra police station area of ​​Lucknow, was beaten to death by his village goons Himanshu Singh, Priyanshu Singh, Avnish Singh, Pratyush Singh and Sunny Singh over a petty dispute. When the family staged a sit-in protest for several days, the named accused were arrested and sent to jail. The accused were found to be close to Rajeshwar Singh, the BJP MLA from Sarojini Nagar constituency. But no bulldozer was used on anyone’s house.
