Knife fight between young children in London, 2 killed in dance class, many seriously injured

The whole of Britain is shocked by the stabbing incident in London’s South Port city. Two children have died in this stabbing incident, while 11 people have been injured. This attack happened when these children were doing dance classes. Except for two youths, the age of all others is said to be 6 to 11 years. A dance and yoga program based on the theme of singer Taylor Swift was being organized for them. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has strongly condemned this attack on social media.

At the same time, this matter echoed in the British Parliament. Home Minister Yvette Cooper has expressed grief over the accident. She said, “I just want to say that I know that a very serious incident has happened in Southport. The entire House is very worried about this. Our condolences are with the families and loved ones of those affected.”

Merseyside County Police said officers were informed of the attack in Southport. Police described it as a major incident but also said there was no major threat to the general public. Police have not linked it to terrorism. A 17-year-old accused has been arrested.

He lives in Cardiff, a village about 8 km away from the place of attack. A knife has been confiscated from him. However, it is not yet clear what was the motive behind the attack. But the way the children were attacked with a knife is not only worrying but has also become a serious issue.

After this attack, a person running a shop near the dance class said that he saw 7 to 10 children running covered in blood. They had suffered serious injuries. They were all running towards a community center. Classes for pregnant women, infants and children are given there.
