Kidnapping, murder and disposal of the body, this is how the police arrested the accused after 8 days

A shocking case of murder has come to light from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh. A friend working with him in digital marketing kidnapped his friend over money transactions and killed him. After this, the body was thrown into the Gomti river. Eight days after the incident, the police arrested the accused friend and recovered the body on his information and sent it for post-mortem.

The case is of Krishna Nagar of Gangaghat Kotwali area. 26-year-old Abhay Tripathi, who lived in Anshika Apartment here, suddenly disappeared from home on July 25. He was originally a resident of Kanpur Barra police station area. The family had complained about this to the police. The family alleges that even after complaining, the police was not taking any action. They were making rounds of the police station. When they complained to Lucknow ADG and Chief Minister Yogi, the case was revealed.

Husband had gone to Neem Karauli with five friends

The wife of the deceased Abhay told that her husband used to work in digital marketing in Kanpur itself. But, his friend Rohit called him to Shuklaganj to work with him. His friends Rohit, Tushar, Saurabh, Anirudh and Pradeep used to work with him. My husband had gone to Neem Karauli on 23rd July with his five friends.

He was supposed to return from Neem Karauli on 27th July. But he returned on 25th July. I last spoke to my husband on phone on 24th July. Then on 25th July I spoke to him on WhatsApp. When my brother-in-law called him, Tushar picked up the phone. He said he would talk after half an hour. After this his phone got switched off.

Police accused of not taking any action

When his mobile phone did not switch on till 7 pm, he started getting worried. After this, we complained about it to Ganga Ghat police station on July 25. But, the police did not take any action. Even after visiting the police station, the police was not listening to us. When a complaint was made to the ADG, the CEO told that the body has been found.

The police took the accused friend into custody and questioned him

On the other hand, after registering the case, the police has started investigation. When the police checked the CCTV footage of Anshika Apartment, Tushar and Abhay were seen coming out of the apartment together. The police immediately took the deceased’s friend Tushar into custody and questioned him. The accused Tushar started misleading the police. But when the police interrogated him strictly, he confessed the truth.

After killing his friend, he threw his body in the Gomti river

The accused friend Tushar told the police that he used to work with Abhay in digital marketing. There was a transaction of 50 thousand rupees between them. Due to this money transaction, he called his aunt’s son Shivam. Then he took Abhay with him and killed him and threw the body in the Gomti river in Hardoi.

Police said this in the case

CO Sadar Sonam Singh said that on July 27, Divya Tripathi, a resident of Kanpur Barra, had filed a case in Ganga Ghat police station. Her husband Abhay Tripathi used to work in digital marketing while living in Shuklaganj on the advice of his friend Rohit. The case was registered and investigation was done and when Tushar was taken into custody, he told that he along with his maternal uncle’s son had killed Abhay and thrown him in the Gomti river. The police have taken the body from the spot and sent it for post-mortem. Further action is underway.
