Kejriwal’s troubles may increase! Delhi HC may give verdict in defamation case on Monday

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s troubles are not reducing. On Monday, the Delhi High Court will give its verdict in the defamation case filed by BJP leader Rajiv Babbar against Kejriwal over his statement of deleting the name of the Agrawal community from the voting list. Kejriwal had pleaded to cancel the defamation case going on in the lower court. After this, the High Court has put a stay on the hearing of the lower court for the time being.

BJP leader Rajiv Babbar had filed a defamation suit seeking action against Kejriwal and several other AAP leaders for allegedly damaging the credibility of the BJP.

‘Attempt was made to incite people against BJP’

In fact, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had tweeted on December 8, 2018, claiming that the Agrawal community has a total of eight lakh votes in Delhi. Out of them, BJP got about four lakh votes cut. Rajiv Babbar had alleged that Kejriwal was falsely blaming him for removing the names of “voters” from the voter list. BJP also alleged that Kejriwal has tried to incite people against BJP on social media.

These AAP leaders are also named in the case

A criminal defamation petition was filed against the statement of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the matter of removal of names of people of Agrawal community from the voter list in Delhi. Apart from Kejriwal, Atishi Marlena, Manoj Kumar and Sushil Kumar Gupta have also been made accused in the petition.

Let us tell you that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had tweeted on 8 December 2018 and claimed that the Agrawal community has a total of 8 lakh votes in Delhi. Out of them, BJP got around 4 lakh votes cut? That is 50 percent. Till date, this community was a staunch BJP voter. This time, they are angry due to demonetization and GST, so BJP got their votes cut!
