Kedarnath: A rock fell from the mountain on the Kedarnath road after a rain of stones, the journey was stopped as a precaution

Kedarnath: Heavy rains are continuing in the hills and plains of Uttarakhand. People’s lives are being badly affected due to heavy rains in the mountains. Many incidents of stones, rocks and boulders falling from the mountains are also being reported.

Chardham Yatra continues

These days, the Char Dham Yatra is also going on in Uttarakhand. Every day thousands of devotees are visiting Kedarnath Dham to have darshan of Baba Kedar. Meanwhile, on Saturday, once again some stones fell down before Kedarnath Dham and then within no time a rock fell from the mountain. However, luckily there was no loss of life in this incident.

District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that on Saturday, a rock was reported falling from above the Sonprayag shuttle parking on the Kedarnath Yatra route. There has been no loss of life or property. All the pilgrims were already alerted in view of the heavy rains. Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, the journey has been stopped for some time.

Stones fell in Chiravasa

Let us tell you that last Sunday also many devotees were hit by debris falling from the top of the hill at a place called Cheervasa, about 3 km ahead of Gaurikund on the pilgrimage route of Kedarnath Dham. In which 3 devotees died a painful death after getting buried under the debris, while 8 people were injured in it.
