Kashmir’s Lal Chowk painted in the colours of the tricolour, Independence Day fervour seen all across Srinagar

The country is celebrating its 78th Independence Day today (15 August). On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in the morning to hoist the national flag at the historic Red Fort in Delhi. This great festival of independence is being celebrated in every corner of the country. A new color of patriotism is being seen from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. During this time, this day is also being celebrated in a special way in Lal Chowk in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar’s Lal Chowk is all decked up to celebrate Independence Day. Tricolour themed lights have been installed on the buildings around Lal Chowk. The historic Ghantaghar has also been decorated in the colours of the tricolour.

The most important thing is that there is no restriction on Lal Chowk on this day. Movement is going on as usual. There is no internet snap and the tricolour can be seen everywhere. Not only Lal Chowk, the celebration of Independence Day can be seen in the whole of Srinagar.
