In fact, the National Rifles and Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police started a joint operation by encircling Dhari Gote Urarbagi, about 55 km from Doda. The 16th Corps of the Indian Army said on X that the encounter started after the terrorists started firing on the security forces when they saw them approaching around 8 pm on Monday night. Seeing them surrounded by the security forces, the terrorists tried to escape from there but an army officer chased them with his soldiers. After this, a heavy encounter started with the terrorists once again around 9 pm.

Kashmir Tigers took responsibility for the attack

Kashmir Tigers has claimed responsibility for the Doda terror attack. This terror organisation is associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed. Before this, this terror organisation had also claimed responsibility for the terror attack in Kathua on 8th July. Five soldiers were martyred in the terror attack in Kathua.

Came into existence after the abrogation of Article 370

This new terrorist organization has emerged rapidly in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years. It is said to have come into existence in January 2021 after the removal of Article 370. This terrorist organization first allegedly targeted a police bus in Srinagar. Three soldiers were killed in this attack while many others were injured. This attack on the police bus took place after the terrorists’ hideout was exposed in Shikari of Dalantop area of ​​​​Raisi district. Security forces recovered 30 rounds of AK-47, a magazine and a hand grenade from this hideout of terrorists. This organization also allegedly fights for the independence of Kashmir. It is being described as a shadow group of Jaish. This terrorist organization takes responsibility after attacking.

Four new terrorist organizations formed

According to reports, four new terrorist organizations have been formed in Jammu and Kashmir since 2019. Their names are – Kashmir Tigers, TRF, PAFF and LEM. In 2021, a video was released by Mufti Altaf alias Abu Jar, a resident of Anantnag, who was a terrorist of Jaish. In this video, Jar had told that he has formed a new terrorist organization named Kashmir Tigers. Local terrorist Altap joined terrorism only last year. Earlier he used to work as a helper for the terrorists.

Jammu region has recently witnessed a rise in terror attacks, especially in border districts like Poonch, Rajouri, Doda and Reasi. The attacks on the IAF convoy, a pilgrim bus and the recent killing of soldiers in Kathua have highlighted the security threat.
