Karen Reed, the woman accused of killing her cop boyfriend, breaks her silence — and alleges a law enforcement cover-up

Karen Reed, the Massachusetts woman accused of killing her cop boyfriend, has broken her silence — as she professes her innocence and accuses law enforcement of covering up his death.

Reid, 44, spoke for the first time in an interview with ABC’s 20/20 — set to air in its entirety Friday night — after the death of Boston police officer John O’Keefe in 2022.

“I jumped out of the passenger side, and I fell on the street. His eyes were closed, and he had blood spots in different parts of his face, and he was still — not stiff, but still,” Reid said of the moment she claims she saw her boyfriend lying on the road.

Reid is accused of running O’Keefe down with his car in January 2022 and leaving her to die in a snowstorm.
