Kanpur: Last picture of UP Health Department’s Deputy Director, body not found even after five days of drowning

Even after five days of efforts, no trace has been found of the body of Aditya Vardhan Singh, Deputy Director of Health Department, who drowned in the Ganga river at Nanamau Ghat in Kanpur. The teams of NDRF and SDRF have returned, while now only the motor boat of PSC is patrolling the Ganga.

The incident happened when Aditya Vardhan Singh went to Nanamau Ghat to take a bath with his friends Yogesh Mishra and Pradeep Tiwari. A picture has surfaced in which Aditya is taking a bath with his friend Yogesh, while Pradeep Tiwari is taking photos from outside.

By the time he went to the car to pick up the phone, his friend drowned

After taking the photo, Aditya told his friend Pradeep that his phone was kept in the car, he should bring it and take good pictures. Pradeep went to get the phone. Meanwhile, while trying to take a good photo, Aditya went into deep water and started drowning. Yogesh and Pradeep sought help from the divers standing on the shore, but the divers first demanded 10 thousand rupees.

Pradeep transferred the money online, but by the time the divers jumped in to save Aditya, he had drowned. The photo that has surfaced is believed to be Aditya’s last photo.

Search was done in 50 km area

The police administration has been searching for the body in an area of ​​50 kms for the last five days. Dozens of steamer boats and drone cameras are searching the bushes and the areas of Ganga Barrage, but no success has been achieved so far. The police believe that the body may be stuck in the bushes and will be discovered only when it comes to the surface.

Aditya’s family has refused to talk to the media. His brother and parents have also come from abroad, but no one has given any reaction. ADCP Brijesh Dwivedi assured that the police is making efforts and the search for the body will be completed soon.
