Kanpur: After love marriage, the woman whom he got a government job by educating her, she left him; husband narrates his ordeal

They became friends during their studies, then the friendship turned into love and they got married for love… but after some time of getting a government job, the wife’s attitude changed. She started living separately from her husband with the child. Eventually the matter reached divorce. This is the story of Shivanshu Awasthi and Meenakshi Shukla, who live in Kanpur. They got married in 2008. After 15 years of marriage, they are now separated. Let us know the whole matter…

Actually, Shivanshu Awasthi, who lives in Yashoda Nagar, was doing B.Pharma in Kanpur University with his friend Meenakshi Shukla. During this time, both of them fell in love. Then both of them decided to get married. Shivanshu and Meenakshi had a love marriage in 2008. Both their families were happy with this marriage. After some time, the couple had two children. Till that time Meenakshi did not have any job, while Shivanshu was doing a decent private job.

Shivanshu says that his wife Meenakshi had high dreams. She expressed her desire to study more and get a government job. In order to fulfill his life partner’s dreams, he started sending her to coaching etc. and got her B.Ed completed in 2009-10. He made a lot of efforts for her education. Finally, in 2015, his wife got a job as a government teacher.

It is alleged that as soon as she got a government job, Meenakshi’s attitude changed. She first refused to live in Shivanshu’s house saying that your mother is ill, hire a servant to take care of her. There was a lot of dispute over this. There was discord between the husband and wife as well as in the family. Finally Meenakshi left the house. She took her younger son along with her. The elder son (13) stayed with Shivanshu.

Later, Meenakshi also applied in the court for the custody of her elder son. She also filed a case against Shivanshu under the dowry act. Shivanshu says that he tried a lot to call his wife but she did not come. Meenakshi started living in Etawah and started working there.

Frustrated, Shivanshu filed a divorce case. In this case, Meenakshi did not appear on the dates. Shivanshu was forced to appeal for a unilateral divorce. After hearing, the court accepted Shivanshu’s unilateral divorce application. According to Shivanshu’s lawyer, the court has accepted that the couple has not been living together for many years and the wife is not even appearing on the dates, so the husband has grounds to get a divorce.

According to lawyer Anup Shukla- the husband had filed a suit for divorce but the wife did not file any reply in the court. On this the court unilaterally accepted the husband’s plea for divorce. However, the case under the Guardian and Wards Act for dowry harassment and custody of the elder son between the couple is still pending.
