Kangana Ranaut is now not just a Bollywood actress-producer but also an MP. The actress tries to manage both roles well, but despite this, the pace of her film career is slowing down. She has to travel a long distance from her parliamentary constituency Mandi to Mumbai. In such a situation, the release of her home production film ‘Emergency’ is also getting affected.

Kangana Ranaut herself has talked about this. She said that being an MP, you have a big responsibility. Keeping that in mind, all the work has to be done. Because of this, my film is getting affected. Kangana has also talked about the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Kangana talked about her upcoming film Emergency in an interview with Variety and said- Her (Indira Gandhi) life was like Shakespeare’s tragedy. We don’t have to judge or measure it. It is what it is. When people watch the film, they will realize that it is an honest view of the Emergency, why it happened and what was its eventual outcome.

According to Kangana, controversy is being created on her film only because she is a BJP MP. And she is making a film on a story inspired by the life of a leader who was from the opposition party. But Kangana is just doing her work without paying attention to these controversies. The actress said- A big team of historians has worked on this film. No one can be angry with such honesty.

Film career took a back seat

Along with this, the actress also talked about her political career going on along with her film career and admitted that it is being left behind. The actress said- My film work is getting affected. My projects are waiting. I am not able to start my shooting. I am waiting for more details related to Parliament, like the winter session, so that I can manage my dates. Being an MP is a very challenging job. Especially in my constituency, where there is a flood. That’s why I am present everywhere. I have to go to Himachal and see how the situation is improving.

Kangana recently announced the new release date of her upcoming film Emergency. She told that the film will now hit the theatres on 6 September. Earlier, the film was to be released on 14 June, but it was postponed after Kangana became an MP. Kangana will be seen playing the role of Indira Gandhi in the film. Paresh Rawal, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman will be seen playing important roles along with her.
