Douglas Emhoff, the husband of US Vice President and Democratic Party’s presidential candidate Kamala Harris, has admitted to cheating on his first wife. A British tabloid claimed that he once impregnated his family nanny. According to The Daily Mail report, Emhoff had an affair with a blonde nanny, Nazen Naylor. She taught at the same private school where both his children studied.
This happened more than 15 years ago, while Emhoff was still married to his then-wife, Kerstin. The two were not divorced. A close friend of Douglas Emhoff familiar with the matter revealed that Naylor had gotten pregnant but decided not to carry the baby to term. In an interview with CNN, Emhoff admitted to cheating on his first wife without naming Nazen Naylor or mentioning the pregnancy.

Speaking to CNN, he said, ‘During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times because of me. I took responsibility for my actions and in the years that followed, we both worked on our shortcomings as a family and emerged stronger.’ Meanwhile, his first wife Kerstin said in a statement on Saturday, ‘Doug and I decided to end our marriage many years ago for many reasons. But he is a great father to our children, remains a very good friend to me. I am really proud of the blended family that Doug, Kamala and I have created together.’
CNN, citing a source, reported that the case of Douglas Emhoff cheating on his first wife was revealed to President Joe Biden’s investigation panel 4 years ago, when he chose Kamala Harris as his deputy for the 2020 US presidential elections. Let us tell you that Kamala Harris and Douglas Emhoff met each other in 2013 and got married in 2014. Both have no children. Douglas Craig Emhoff of Jewish origin is a lawyer by profession. Kamala Harris has also been associated with the legal profession.
