Kalashtami 2024: Kalashtami is also known as Kaala Ashtami. Lord Bhairav is worshipped on this day. According to the Hindu calendar, Kalashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of every month. This time the fast of Kalashtami is being observed on 27th July i.e. today. According to religious beliefs, Lord Kalbhairav appeared on the day of Ashtami Tithi. It is believed that by worshipping on this day, all kinds of negative energy spread in the house is eliminated. Also, this Kalashtami is falling in the month of Sawan, so the importance of this festival has increased further.
Kalashtami auspicious time (Kalashtami 2024 Shubh Muhurat)
According to the Hindu calendar, Kalashtami of Shravan month is celebrated on the day of Krishna Ashtami. Ashtami Tithi will start on 27th July i.e. today at 9:19 pm and the Tithi will end on 28th July at 7:27 pm. Also, Ravi Yoga is going to be formed today. Ravi Yoga will be from 5:40 am to 1 pm today.
Method of worship of Kalashtami fast (Kalashtami Pujan Vidhi)
On this day, Lord Shiva’s Kaal Bhairav form is worshiped. On this day, wake up early in the morning and take a vow to fast after taking a bath. After this, go to the Shiva or Bhairav temple and worship. In the evening, worship Shiva, Parvati and Bhairav ji. Since Bhairav is considered the god of Tantrikas, he is also worshiped at night. Make sure to include a lamp, black sesame, urad and mustard oil in the worship of Kaal Bhairav. After completing the fast, feed sweet rotis to a black dog.
