Kajari Teej 2024: Kajari Teej fast today, know the auspicious time, worship method and moonrise time

Kajari Teej 2024: Today is Kajari Teej. Kajari Teej is a major festival celebrated in North India. On this day, married women observe Nirjala fast for the long life of their husbands and happy married life. While unmarried girls observe fast to wish for a good groom. On the day of Kajari Teej, women sing traditional songs. They swing and worship Lord Shiva, Mata Parvati. On this day, there is also a ritual of worshiping Neemdi Mata. Let us know what is the worship method and auspicious time on Kajari Teej today.The Tritiya Tithi of Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha will be from 5.06 pm on August 21 to 1.46 pm on August 22. The fast of Kajari Teej will be observed on Thursday, August 22, i.e. today. According to the Hindu calendar, the auspicious time for the worship of Kajari Teej will be between 5:50 am to 7:30 am.On the day of Kajari Teej, wake up early in the morning, take a bath and wear clean clothes. After taking the vow of fasting, worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in your mind.Choose a clean place for worship on Kajari Teej and place a stool there. Spread a clean cloth on the stool and place the idol of Lord Shiva, Mata Parvati and Ganesh ji on it. Bathe the idols or pictures of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati with Panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar). After this, bathe them with water and offer them clothes. Decorate Shiva-Parvati with sandalwood, roli, mauli, vermilion, kumkum and flowers. Offer Belpatra, Dhatura, and flowers. Offer sweets and naivedya.Neemdi Mata is also worshipped on Kajari Teej. For this, make a pond-like shape on the wall with mud and cow dung. Plant a neem twig near it. Pour raw milk and water in the pond and light a lamp on the bank. Then sprinkle water on Neemdi Mata and offer her roli, akshat and moli. After this, apply tilak of roli on the Kalash of worship and tie Kalawa. Then apply 13-13 dots of mehndi, roli and kajal on the wall behind Neemdi Mata with your finger.

Apply roli and mehendi dot with ring finger and kajal dot with index finger. After this, offer dakshina to Neemdi Mata along with any fruit of your choice. Then pray to Neemdi Mata for long life of your husband and happy married life. After this, look at lemon, neem branch, cucumber, nose ring and saree pallu in the light of a lamp on the bank of a pond. Finally, offer arghya to the moon and pray for happiness and prosperity.On Kajari Teej, after worshipping Neemdi Mata in the evening, Arghya is offered to the Moon God. According to the Hindu calendar, the moonrise on Kajari Teej will be at 8:20 pm.
