Joaquin Phoenix He gave a cryptic answer after being quizzed about his reasons for leaving Todd Haynes’ untitled gay romance movie.
Speaking at A press conference For in Venice Joker: Folie À Deux, Phoenix made it clear that he had an opinion about her–he just didn’t intend to share it.
“If I do, I’ll just share my opinion from my perspective and the other creators aren’t here to say their part and don’t think that would be appropriate, I’m not sure how that would be helpful. . So I don’t think I will,” he told a reporter from Screen International.
The actor’s sudden departure from the detective movie just five days before the film was set to begin shooting sent Hollywood into a frenzy and left fans speculating as to why he decided to walk away from a project he had reportedly taken to the director.
