A case of police lathi-charging on Kanwariyas has come to light in Jhunjhunu’s pilgrimage city Lohargal. After the lathi-charge by the police, there was chaos in the Surya Kund area of ​​Lohargal late at night. Angry with the police lathi-charge, a clash broke out between the Kanwariyas and the Home Guard jawan. However, there were no casualties. The incident took place on Sunday night. The video of which is also going viral on social media. At the same time, the RAC jawan has also registered a case in Gothra police station. At present, there is complete peace in Lohargal.

Clashes broke out during lathicharge

According to the information, on Sunday night a large number of Kanwariyas reached Tirtharaj Lohargal to take Kanwar. The number of people increased during bathing in Surya Kund at night. Home Guard and Police RAC jawans stopped them. Even after this, when the situation did not come under control, the police and Home Guard jawans started lathi-charging the Kanwariyas. The Kanwariyas protested against the lathi charge and clashed with the Home Guard jawan who was lathi-charging.

After this, the police thrashed the Kanwariyas who were bathing in Surya Kund, after which there was chaos in Teerth Raj Lohargal. The Kanwariyas also vandalized the shops in anger. However, there was not much damage. After getting the information, Gothra police station officer along with the police force reached the spot and brought the situation under control. A large number of police personnel have been deployed in Teerth Raj Lohargal.

Some anti-social elements were trying to enter the women’s zone

Superintendent of Police Rajshree Raj Verma said that last night there was a huge crowd at Surya Kund in Lohargal. There are separate bathing areas for men and women at the Kund. Despite this, some anti-social elements started trying to go to the area meant for women. After which our soldiers tried to convince them. But they did not agree, due to which the police had to use mild force. During this, they clashed with the RAC soldiers. A case has been registered in this matter and some people have also been identified.
