Three hockey players died due to lightning in Simdega. A hockey match was organized in the Kolibira area of the district. The players had reached the ground. A large crowd had gathered there to watch the match.
The players were preparing to play a hockey match in the Japla RC School ground of Tutikel Panchayat of Kolibira. Then it started raining and lightning started striking. The players were standing on the ground and the match was about to start. The rest of the people went here and there to avoid the rain.
Lightning struck the field during the match
Meanwhile, lightning struck the hockey ground along with rain. Three budding hockey players died due to this. Five people were injured. All the people were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital. There is a wave of mourning among the people due to the death of three hockey players at the same time.
Many big hockey players have emerged from Simdega
Simdega of Jharkhand is called the nursery of hockey. Many national players have emerged from here. These include many big hockey players like Silvanus Dungdung, Olympian Vimal Ladka, Samurai Tete, Salima Tete. All are residents of Simdega district of Jharkhand. In such a situation, people are heartbroken by the death of three young hockey players together.
