Jharkhand has the lowest inflation, then Delhi… Inflation is wreaking havoc in this poor state of the country!

The retail inflation rate in the country has fallen to a 5-year low of 3.54 percent in July. Earlier in June, the inflation rate was 5.1 percent. Despite this, this figure has not brought any sign of relief due to many reasons. The major reason for the decrease in this is the high base of July 2023, because retail inflation was 7.4 percent in that month.

Despite the fall in the overall inflation rate, food inflation remained the biggest headache in July as well. Another disturbing figure has come from those poor states of North India, which are forced to bear the double attack of low income and high inflation. Most of these states are from North India, where the average income is less than the country. But surprisingly, inflation is also the highest here.

Highest inflation in Bihar
According to the data, people of Bihar are most troubled by inflation, where the highest inflation rate of 5.9 percent was recorded in July. After this, people of Assam are forced to bear the brunt of inflation, where the inflation rate was 5.1 percent last month. Odisha, a state of eastern India, was at number three, where 4.8 percent inflation was recorded. In terms of inflation rate, Uttar Pradesh is at number four in the list, where the inflation rate has been 4.6 percent. After UP, Haryana comes next in the list of states with the highest inflation, where 4.5 percent inflation was recorded in July.

Lowest inflation in Jharkhand
Out of the 22 states and union territories for which data has been released, the inflation rate has been less than 5 percent in 20 of them. If we look at the list of states where inflation is the lowest, the situation is completely opposite in Jharkhand, which was separated from Bihar, and the inflation rate here is the lowest at 1.7 percent. After Jharkhand, Delhi comes next in terms of the lowest inflation rate, where the inflation rate is 2.1 percent.

After this, the inflation rate in Chhattisgarh is 2.2 percent while retail inflation in Rajasthan is 2.5 percent and in Uttarakhand it is 2.8 percent. This list clearly shows that economically backward states are struggling more in terms of inflation. Despite good production of grains in these states, the food inflation rate here is also a big cause of concern.
