Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing him of promoting ‘bhumi jihad’, ‘love jihad’. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Soren took oath as chief minister again after returning from jail in a money laundering case. Amit Shah said that ‘bhumi jihad’ and ‘love jihad’ are bringing demographic changes in the state. He made this remark during a Bharatiya Janata Party meeting in Ranchi.

Amit Shah had made similar remarks in March while addressing an election rally in Dumka, where he was campaigning for BJP candidate Geeta Soren, the eldest daughter-in-law of JMM chief Shibu Soren, who recently quit the JMM to join the BJP.

‘The issue of infiltration is a big question for the tribals’

Shah said – ‘I want to appeal to the tribal brothers and sisters to elect such a government that can stop infiltration. If infiltration does not stop, both the land and forests of the tribals will be in danger. The issue of infiltration is a big question for the tribals. Congress, Hemant Soren and his ministers who have just been arrested have infiltrated Jharkhand and carried out love jihad, land jihad and jungle jihad against the tribals’

Amit Shah attacked Hemant Soren

Shah alleged that the Hemant Soren-led government in Jharkhand is the most corrupt government in the country. Addressing the Jharkhand BJP’s extended working committee at Prabhat Tara Maidan in Ranchi, Shah said Rs 300 crore was recovered from the house of an MP, while Rs 30 crore was recovered from the personal assistant of a Jharkhand minister. He said the state’s demography is changing due to infiltration from Bangladesh. Shah accused the Soren government of not paying attention to infiltration and seeing it as a vote bank. After addressing BJP workers, Amit Shah will hold a meeting of the party’s state core group at the party office in Ranchi. Apart from party MPs and MLAs, Union Agriculture Minister and Jharkhand BJP election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan and election co-in-charge Hemant Biswa Sharma are also participating in the meeting.
