The police has achieved a big success in the Anuj kidnapping case that happened a week ago from Nahargarh in Jaipur. The police not only rescued Anuj from the kidnappers’ captivity from Solan in Himachal Pradesh, but also arrested five accused. On August 18, when Anuj had gone for a walk with his friend on the Nahargarh hill, the kidnappers kidnapped him. During this time, the kidnappers kept changing their location. They demanded ransom from five cities in 7 days, but the police reached these kidnappers in a filmy style and rescued Anuj from their captivity after eight days.
After getting out of the clutches of the kidnappers, Anuj told that the miscreants behaved well on the first day and took the password of the mobile. They said that we have been kidnapped. They also kept feeding us on time. Two days later, when he set fire to the stuff lying under the bed to escape and went to the bathroom and started screaming loudly, the miscreants beat him. He told that he had gone to Nahargarh with his friend Soni Singh. The miscreants stopped both of them, beat them up. Made them drink something from a bottle and took them away unconscious.
Police said that the criminals had rented a house on inaccessible hills. Sleeping pills, tapes, ropes, sharp weapons, knives, screwdrivers and walkie-talkies were found there. The room was completely packed with curtains so that no outside location could be found. This made it seem that the accused had committed crimes here earlier as well. One of the accused of the gang is absconding, raids are being conducted at possible hideouts to catch him. The court has sent these accused to jail on Tuesday.

Kailash Bishnoi, Additional CP of Jaipur and in-charge of Operation Checkmate, said that I received information about the kidnapping of the student at 8 pm on August 18. It was revealed that Anuj, who studies in Sangrur, is the son of Shiv Lahri, an auto driver from Pratap Nagar. The miscreants had beaten up his friend and taken Anuj away in a car. After this, I deployed 50 policemen under the leadership of DCP Rashi Dogra Doodi. They conducted a search operation on the hills of Nahargarh with drones and dog squad from night till the next day, but no clue was found.
Mathura, Dehradun, Panchkula…. location changed continuously
On the evening of 20th August, Anuj’s father received a ransom call of 20 lakhs from his mobile. The location was found to be Mathura. From the same phone, calls came from Dehradun the next day and from Panchkula on the third day. I felt that the miscreants were trying to mislead me. The miscreants called me to Chandigarh with the ransom. The police collected the ransom money and sent constable Krishnapal to Chandigarh as brother-in-law of Anuj’s mother Mamta. When mother reached Chandigarh with the money, the miscreants made her sit at Kali Mandir 20 km away from the city. The miscreants called at 12.30 in the night and asked her to sit in the last compartment of the morning toy train for Shimla. We deployed soldiers at the next three stations. Three vehicles were deployed for patrolling in the valley parallel to the train. We did not want to miss it. In the early morning, mother received a call that the bag had to be thrown at Dharampur station. Mamta kept the miscreants engaged on the phone for four minutes so that the location could be traced. The police standing at Dharampur station caught the miscreant with the phone on his ear and when he was strictly interrogated, he pointed towards another miscreant. The same criminals told that Anuj is held hostage in Solan. The teams reached there and rescued Anuj.

Jaipur Police freed Anuj from the clutches of the miscreants on his birthday. The miscreants were also stunned by this style. The police also made a video of the safe rescue of the victim, in which Jaipur Police is saying, which is becoming very viral on social media. In this, the policemen are telling the sleeping Anuj, “Anuj, stand up son, this is Jaipur Police, be happy, we have come only for you.”
Four youths including a woman were arrested
After interrogating the accused, the police arrested other accused one by one. After this, the police reached the hotel where Anuj was held hostage. A criminal was also sleeping with Anuj in the room, he did not even get a hint of the police action. After this, the police freed Anuj safely and arrested four youths besides a woman involved in the kidnapping incident. The accused arrested by the police include Virendra Singh, Vinod, Amit Kumar, Jitendra Bhandari and Jamuna Sarkar. According to the police, the mastermind of the incident is software engineer accused Virendra Singh and his live-in partner is Jamuna Sarkar.
