Police constable arrested by ACB: In Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, a team of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a police constable red-handed on charges of taking bribe. A top police official himself gave information about the arrest of the policeman on Wednesday.
Giving information about the incident, Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General of Police (DGP) Raviprakash Meharda told PTI that the accused constable was posted at Muhana police station. He was identified as constable VP Singh.
DGP Ravi Prakash further said that on Tuesday night, constable VP Singh was taking bribe from the complainant. At that very moment, the ACB team raided the spot and caught the accused constable VP Singh while taking a bribe of five thousand rupees.
Actually, a case was going on against the complainant in the police station. To settle the same case, the accused constable VP Singh had demanded bribe from him. The ACB first confirmed the complaint and then arrested the accused constable red handed from the spot. Now further action is being taken against him.
