According to the information, this ban has been imposed due to the transfer of valuables from the inner chamber of Ratna Bhandar (treasury) to a temporary strong room. An official gave this information. The Ratna Bhandar, located in the basement of the temple, has an outer and an inner chamber. Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief Arabinda Padhi said that arrangements are being made to reopen the inner chamber of Ratna Bhandar on Thursday, so we have banned the entry of devotees into the temple.

No one is allowed to enter after 8 a.m.

No one will be allowed to enter after 8 am on Thursday. He said only authorised persons and sevaks will be allowed to enter the temple after 8 am and only the Singh Dwar of the temple will be open on Thursday. Padhi said valuable items donated to the deity by devotees over the years will be shifted to a temporary strong room inside the temple premises.
