Israel-Iran Tensions: Amid Israel-Iran tensions, Air India on Friday suspended all its flights to Tel Aviv with immediate effect. Air India released a statement on the social media platform ‘X’ and shared information about the suspension of flights.
How long will flights remain suspended?
Air India has suspended all flights to Tel Aviv till August 8. The airline said in a statement that in view of the current situation in parts of the Middle East, we have suspended all flights to and from Tel Aviv with immediate effect till August 8, 2024.
‘Guest safety is the company’s top priority’
The statement said that we are constantly monitoring the situation and are engaged in assisting passengers with confirmed bookings to Tel Aviv during this period. In such a situation, the charge for rescheduling and cancellation of tickets is waived for one time. The safety of our guests and crew members is our top priority. Along with this, the company also shared the helpline number of Air India.

Tension increased between Israel and Iran
It should be noted that after the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah’s top commander, tensions between Israel and Iran have increased further. Iran has even issued an open challenge to Israel. In such a situation, India and Australia have appealed to their citizens to leave Lebanon as soon as possible. The Indian Embassy in Lebanon’s capital Beirut has asked Indian citizens to leave the country.
