Israel-Hamas fight… Where did Lebanon come in between? Know the strength of both

Israel attacked the Hamas terrorists present in Gaza when Hamas launched a deadly attack on Israel on 7 October 2023. Hundreds of people were taken hostage. After this, Israel searched and killed the Hamas terrorists in Gaza. Killed them on the ground. Killed them in tunnels. Killed them by bombing in other countries.

Lebanon jumped in between. Why? Actually, the Hamas terrorists in Gaza and the Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon get help from Iran. Not only this, Iran also helps the Houthi rebels of Yemen in some way or the other. When Hamas was attacked, Hezbollah considered Israel as its enemy. It attacked.

In return, Israel attacked Lebanon in a big way. They killed its masters. They entered Lebanon and attacked. Last year, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had told Iran and Lebanon not to test our patience. We are at war with Hamas. If you intervene, you may suffer losses. But Lebanon and Iran did not agree.

Lebanon is half the size of Israel in geographical area, yet it is a thorn in the side of Israel

Lebanon is half the size of Israel in terms of area. Israel is spread over 20,770 square km. Whereas Lebanon’s area is 10,400 square km. There is no river inside Israel. Lebanon has a 170 km long river.

There is a 130 kilometer border between Israel and Lebanon. Which is called the Blue Line. Now Hezbollah attacks Israel with indigenous missiles and drones received from Iran. In return, Israel launches an air strike on it. Let us know whether Lebanon is in a position to face Israel?

Population of Israel and Lebanon and ranking in the Global Fire Power Index

Israel’s coastline is 273 km and Lebanon’s is 225 km long. Israel’s ranking in the list of 145 countries in the Global Fire Power Index is 18th. Lebanon’s is 111th. Lebanon is small in terms of population. Israel’s population is 81.4 lakh. Lebanon’s is 52.96 lakh. Israel has a manpower of 37.44 lakh people. Lebanon has 20.65 lakh.

Lebanon has less than half the number of active soldiers in Israel

Out of Israel’s manpower, more than 31.11 lakh people are fit for recruitment in the army. Out of these, 1.24 lakh have reached the age of joining the military. Whereas, out of Lebanon’s manpower, only 17.53 lakh people are fit for recruitment in the army. Out of these, only 68,859 people have reached the age of joining the military.

Lebanon has only 80 thousand active military personnel. Israel has 1.73 lakh. That is, more than double. Israel has a reserve force of 4.65 lakh. Lebanon does not have it. Israel has a paramilitary force of 8000 soldiers. Lebanon has a paramilitary force of 25 thousand soldiers.

Israel has 153 fighter jets, Lebanon has 9

Israel has 601 aircrafts. Lebanon has only 78. Israel has 241 fighter aircrafts. Lebanon has none. Israel has 32 dedicated attack aircrafts, while Lebanon has only 9. Israel has 153 training fighter jets, while Lebanon has only 9.

Israel has 23 aircraft to complete special missions. Lebanon does not have even one. Lebanon has 60 helicopters. Israel has 126. Of these, 48 are attack. Lebanon does not have even one.

Lebanon leads in towed artillery, lags behind in rocket power

Talking about tanks, Lebanon has 361 tanks. Israel has 2200 tanks. Lebanon has 9864 armored vehicles, Israel has 56,290. Israel has 650 self-propelled artillery. Lebanon has only 84.

Lebanon is ahead of Israel in towed artillery. It has 374 towed artillery. Israel has 74 less. Israel has 300 mobile rocket projectors. Lebanon has only 30.
